My introduction to the world of voiceover actually came through poetry. The first time someone told me I had a “nice voice,” I had just read a piece at an open mic in Greenwich Village in 1999. I liked the idea that something about the sound of my voice was enhancing my words, but I didn’t know what to do with this information.

Twenty years later, I was recording a poetry compilation at a studio in London when the producer asked me if I’d ever considered a career in voiceover. I still thought that such a profession was for the Nancy Cartwrights and Morgan Freemans of the world, but I was delightfully surprised! Just as the blend of voice and poetry can create a unique persona, I learned that one’s life experience, interests and acting skills can blend into an exciting vocal experience. And so, my love for voiceover was born.

Originally from Brooklyn, I have also lived in various places around the US and abroad, including Los Angeles, Oslo, and London. In addition, I am a Latinx woman of Puerto Rican heritage, fluent in Spanish*. This multicultural experience is at the heart of my love for storytelling. I love the blending that makes us human, and I am here to dedicate my voice to all the hybrid experiences of the world.
